Bishop's
History
“45 Years of Good
Living”
Veracious, Vivacious,
Vincent Donnell Lowery, the son of
Mrs. Virgal M. Lowery and Dwight A. Rawls, was born on June 1, 1964 in
Norfolk, VA. He lived with his great-grandmother,
Mother E. A. Lundy
for a few years, where he attended Greensville County Public Schools.
Consequently, he moved back to Norfolk and attended John T. West,
Monroe, and Rosemont Jr. High School. In the meantime, he never forgot
God; therefore, at the age of 16, he became saved, sanctified and filled
with the Holy Spirit. |

Loving
rural life so immensely, he went back to Emporia and
attended Greensville County High School; however, upon
returning to Norfolk, he graduated from Norview High School
in 1982. While there, he was an honor student and president
of the Junior Jaycees. He also was an active member of the
Boys’ Club.
As an
infant, he was christened at the First Born Church of Christ
under Mother Lundy, His other church affiliations included
Mason Memorial COGIC and Bethel Apostolic Church.
In
September, he enrolled at St. Paul’s College in
Lawrenceville and consequently received a B. S. Degree in
Social Science Education. He also received a Master’s Degree
in Administration and Supervision. At the age of 19, he
became a pastor of the Glorious COGIC, where his Grandmother
had pastored. He taught in the public schools for a number
of years in Virginia and North Carolina. He attended Liberty
Theological School and in August, 1993, he was consecrated
Bishop of the Faith Deliverance Tabernacle Movement
worldwide, overseeing 17 churches in this jurisdiction.
Bishop has a weekly, one hour TV Ministry (Channel 20 in
Virginia and North Carolina). Bishop Lowery is one of a
kind. He is a quintessential minister, one who integrates
theological revelations and practical application for
Christian living. His favorite motto is:
“We’re
not moved by what we see - we walk by faith and not by
sight.”
