A little about me
Welcome
to Wildwood Chows located in Northern
New York - USA. My name is Lenita Jenks and I live in the small town of Colton deep in the forest in the "Wildwoods". My involvement in chows started when I was a young girl- I was 8 years old I wanted a dog of my own to love as I loved dogs so much and my Mom had black cocker that was blind, but I wanted a dog for me. We had a wedding to attend in Florida in 1991 and my Mom & Dad told me that when I got home I would have something waiting for me - I wanted to know right then but I had to wait but I never dreamed it would be a dog! I had guessed every thing but a dog. My Sister was living in Arizona. And she had called my Mom and Dad and told them that she had a litter of Chow Chow puppies. So my Parents got to thinking and so they told my sister that when she came for Christmas to bring a red Chow puppy for me. It was 2 days after we got home from the wedding that my sister drove up and my Mother told me to go out as my "Gift" had arrived! I was so excited I tore out the door to see what this surprise was and I was overwhelmed with joy to find a live Teddy Bear! A gorgeous Chow Puppy!

can express what I was feeling at that moment.
Now as the years passed myself and my family knew this was the breed for us and we started looking for a male and we found Buddy the next love of my life and then things have blossomed from there. My whole family are chows lovers - My Brother and my Parents wouldn't have any other dog but a chow ,and yes we have had other breeds over the years as well but no other breed has brought as much joy to owning the Chows - They will always be the true love of my life!
